We are happy to announce that Annette Nicolai will be playing with Rayzen Kane. Annette started out sitting in with us just for fun but she fit in well and added a new dimension to the band. So now she's a regular member. Annette plays classical guitar had has been a member of an opera company in California. Since she is a classically trained musician, we figured she would add a little class to the group, not that we need it.

The CD has been doing great. We have only a handful left. Now we need to decide weather to have more produced or not. Meantime, we're already thinking about a second CD. It's still in the planning stages right. now. We'd love to get some feedback about the CD. If you have one, please let us know how you like it. Positive and negative comment will be welcome.

Ed has made a lot improvement in his health and has begun practicing with us again. We're glad to him back adding the autoharp to the mix. He'll be with us at our next two gigs next weekend.

After what seems like forever practicing, recording, tweaking, and waiting, our first CD is finally here!Called simply "Rayzen Kane" it contains seven original songs, and three covers. Five of the originals were written by Ralph and two by Jim. Since it only contains ten songs, whereas most CDs have fifteen or more, we'll be selling it for only $10.00 wherever we appear.
We're very excited about this first CD and hope you enjoy it.

We had a great time representing the Susquehanna Folk Music Society at Susan Corbett's Arts in the Garden at the Govenor's Mansion on Sunday. The Govenor and Mrs. Corbett actually stopped to listen to us for awhile, and to chat with us. They were both very warm and friendly and approachable. Hopefully, we will have some pics or maybe video to post in few days.

We spent a day in the recording studio last week recording our first CD. All that remains now is to listen carefully and maybe make some tweaks. Then we can have it duplicated. We could have it ready in a week or so!

We're still working on our CD. We hope to be in the studio within the next month. We have 10 songs picked out, seven originals and 3 covers. Ed is till recovering from his physical problems and has taken a hiatus from the band, but we hope he'll be coming back once he gets his health under control.
In the meantime, March17th, we'll be returning to Warm Hearts in Mechanicsburg. It's always a pleasure to play there. Since it will be St. patrick's Day, we have prepared several I...Read Full Post »

We had a great time playing at The Fort Hunter Centennial Barn on Saturday night for the Susquehanna Folk Music Society's coffeehouse. Too bad, Ed had a set back in his recovery and couldn't make it to play with us.

Rayzen kane is taking a little time off. But we won't be just sitting around doing nothing. Not at all. We'll be working on recording our first CD. It will mainly be used as a Promo tool to give to perspective presenters, but some copies may be available for fans too.
Ed's back has been giving him serious trouble and he hasn't been able to play with us at our last two shows, but we're all hoping he'll be back soon.
