We have a new member of the band. He is Tom Washic. Tom joined us to fill in while Ralph was away, but he was so good, we couldn't let him go.
Tom plays guitar and bass and does vocals. He may not appear with us all the time, but he will be at many of our shows. Watch, and listen, for him.

We now have our own Rayzen Kane theme song written by our own Ralph Dahle. We will be debuting it this Saturday at Stage and Studio Cafe, Mechanicsburg ( formerly Warmhearts).

Well, Ralph's back from Florida and Ed's health has improved to the point where he has rejoined the band. We've had a couple of good outings and feel great. We've added some new material and brushed up some old favorites, too. It feels good to be backl on the boards.

Rayzen Kane will be a bit scarce for the next few months, but we are not going away. We didn't book anything for December because that month is just too busy. Then in January, Snowbird Ralph and his wife will be going to Florida for three months. We may make an appearance or two sans Ralph, but have nothing planned right now. Our next scheduled appearance is in April. So don't forget us. We'll be busy learning new material and new arrangements and preparing for our new CD which we have planned for next year. Check this website for info on upcoming concerts. See you soon.

We had a great time playing at The Perking Point last night. What a great little( not too little) coffeehouse. It may be the best kept secret in Harrisburg.
It's a great room with a big stage, all sorts of equipment and a top-notch sound man, Charlie. We look forward to returning there in July. I urge you to check out this gem. Stop in for a coffee and/or a sandwich and meet the friendly people.;)

Once again this year, Rayzen Kane has been invited to play at Mrs. Corbett's Arts in the Garden. The event will be held in the garden behind the governor's home on Front Street, Harrisburg. We are excited to be selected to play for this event again. The last time we played , two years ago, we met the Governor and his wife and had a nice chat with them. The garden will be open to the public from 2:30 to 4:00 on Sunday June 8th.

Each year The Susquehanna Folk Music Society has a gala fund raiser which includes food, an auction and entertainment. This year Rayzen Kane has been asked to perform at the event. The gala will be held on June 8 at the Appalachian Brewing Company. The theme this year is "Woodstock", and everyone is being asked to dress in outfits from the period, and there will be a costume contest. It should be a lot of fun. Check the SFMSFOLK.org website where details will be posted soon.

If you haven't been to see us lately, you haven't met our newest member, Annette Nicolai. As soon as time permits, we'll get a new promo picture taken, but for now, if you want to see Annette, you'll have to come to see us in action.

We are taking a little time off during the Holiday Season, since there's so much going on. But we haven't given up practicing at all. We're using the time to learn a lot of new material, and to work Annette into the arrangements. We have two great new numbers by JJ Cale that we're working on, plus few originals and others. But we won't forget some of your older favorites either. We're looking forward to showcasing some of the new songs next season. Our first date will be Jan 18th at Warm Hearts Cafe. Hope to see you there.
