They’re just four old guys and a Gal Rayzen Kane. The band may be fairly new, but the members have been around awhile. The five members, Ralph Dahle (guitar) Jim Richardson ( Ukulele), Ed Rech (autoharp) and Bill Frederick (Harmonica), and our newest member Annette Nicolai (guitar) combine for about a thousand years of experience. (OK, maybe close to a hundred). The five have contributed to such groups as Over and Out, The Sesame Street Bluegrass Gang, Krypton City Blues Revue, and Howard and the Islanders, not to mention Opera Pacifica in California.
Now, as Rayzen Kane, they have found a new exciting sound that has been getting a lot of attention. It’s a unique bluesy-folk, old-time sound that’s hard to categorize, but fun to listen to. The five instruments create a distinct blend and the five voices take turns swapping lead, harmony and backup parts.
They’re all about having fun and maybe Rayzen a little Kane.
